The Seisou Academy Intraschool Concours is an music competition held in Seisou Academy every few years. It features talented musicians through all years competing for the championship. Usually, competition participation is only open to students of the Music Department. However, there are certain circumstances, such as Hino's and subsequently, Ryoutaro's, in which other skilled students from the GenEd department take part (though theirs' is the first instance). As of the end of the anime, the current champion is Len Tsukimori. It is also revealed that teacher-violinist Shinobu Ousaki was a champion during his years in Seisou. Much of La Corda's anime and manga plot revolves around the character's growth through their involvment in the concours.
